We are recruiting for a Yard Operative

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join NC & JC Construction as a Yard Operative, to support the running of our busy yard in Old Wolverton, Milton Keynes.

Assisting our experienced Plant Fitter you will learn all aspects associated with operating a yard in the construction industry.

Duties will include:
• unloading and sorting deliveries by hand or with a forklift truck
• loading plant and material to company vehicles
• delivering plant and materials to site
• cleaning returned plant and vehicles
• maintaining a tidy yard and high standard of health and safety

You must be able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, be physically fit and enjoy working outside in all weathers. Driving licence is essential. Fork lift truck qualification and construction yard experience is desirable.

Hours of work are generally Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5pm. We offer 33 days holiday (25 days plus bank holidays), company pension and a competitive rate of pay. Relevant PPE and training will be provided.
