DEENETHORPE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

Drainage improvement works to A43 Deenethorpe / Kirby Lane junction to prevent surface water flooding.

The works included the replacement of an existing collapsed culvert with a new 375mm dia. piped culvert and installation of a new chamber and manhole. The existing brick headwall and concrete bag walling were replaced with a new concrete bag headwall on a concrete slab base.

The carriageway was reinstated to match the existing specification and overbanded. Works were phased and included weekend work to minimise disruption and the requirement for a full road closure.

The scheme was completed for Kier Infrastructure under the North Northamptonshire Highways Term Maintenance Contract.
