AERODROME ROAD, DRAUGHTON

Drainage improvement works to stop surface water from the public highway flooding residents’ homes.

Works included the removal of existing gully and surface water drains,  excavation and cleaning of existing ditch, bank reinforcement through the installation of a new headwall with scour protection, cutting of carriageway and installation of new surface water carrier drain and connections, installation of concrete catchpits, gullies and footway edgings.

The works were competed under a road closure, with traffic and pedestrian management undertaken by others.

The works were completed for Kier Transportation under the West Northamptonshire Highways Term Maintenance Contract.
