Section 278 highway works to construct a new vehicular access and footpaths at Derwent School, Henlow as part of Central Bedfordshire Council’s Highways Term Services Contract with Ringways Jacobs.

Works included traffic management, construction of a new vehicular access, installation of 900mm concrete pipe, headwall culvert and piping ditch, widening of existing footway, installation of new speed cushions, resurfacing of carriageway, additional street lighting, replacement council specification bus stop, ducting for school high voltage supply and associated landscaping works.

We worked collaboratively with the developer undertaking the school building works to ensure that our surfacing road closure works were phased to minimise disruption to their access and deliveries.
